The Executive Chef is responsible for the day-to-day success and profitability of the operation. They develop a full-scale menu complete with cost and budget. They manage, hire, and train kitchen and front-of-house staff. They will work on the line in peak time periods. Good Winds Restaurant operations vary with the season and closes January – Mid February annually. 7-day operation in-season, 5-day operation off-season.

At Good Winds Restaurant, we proudly serve tasty and inventive beach cuisine, fresh-caught local seafood, and the widest selection of wine and regional craft beer and in the Tri-Villages. Good Winds is known for delicious food at a reasonable price, outstanding customer service, and the most spectacular sunsets on the Outer Banks. We’re a national adventure and retail operation – locations from Maine to Florida but mostly based on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. If it’s fun to do on the Outer Banks, we do it. Kitty Hawk Kites is the world’s largest and oldest Hang Gliding School and now features a Kite Boarding School and Resort, Kayaking tours and much more!
